What’s Mine Is Now Yours
This collection is part of a bigger group installation titled What’s Mine Is Now Yours. Rooted in the bold and authentic spirit of the Year of the Dragon, we see the familial act of washing clothes to dress and celebrate the fresh start of a new year. Viewers are invited to reconnect with their inner child, tapping into memories of home, ritual, and family customs that ground us in a sense of belonging and security. Viewers see the two subjects as potential sisters wearing red ao dai in a playground of fresh laundry and linen, sharing a language of ease, lightness, and freedom. Ahead of a hopeful new year, this collection stands as a visual representation of tender and softer forms of transformation and rebirth, all while embracing the beauty of choosing to begin again.
